It is April….. Spring is springing !!!  Now what to do for the Do-It-Yourselfer ?   For the lawn … change oil in mower, put on new blades and you also might want to just go ahead and put in a new spark plug while you are at it.   Get your pre-emergent weed & feed out (if you have not already.  If you have , then get the fertiloam hose in sprayer out and give the yard a good once over with post-emergent weed control and don’t forget to put down some granular fertilizer as it is time for your lawns first good feeding.  (all this is available at your lawn and garden emporium) This works for bermuda and zoysia but for fescue , we normally like to not feed during the Summer as this can cause problems on the fescue.  Feed fescue in the Fall and Spring.

Now , what about the bugs ?   Well, a good granular insecticide around the home perimiter should help with the ants and spiders.  Put down new glue boards in the house for the creepie crawlies (make sure kids and pets can’t get into them as hair really sticks). Replace the glue boards when they get full or every couple of months.

Keep this routine up every four (4) to six (6) weeks until frost….. remimber to always read and follow all label directions on the products you buy.  If you have a question then give us a call or drop us a line.

Have a nice day !  🙂
